Kathy Nissius
Physical Therapist
Kathy has spent 30 years in the care and prevention of orthopedic injuries from the neck to the ankle and everything in between. She started her career as an athletic trainer in college and high school settings, focusing on field injuries and returning to sport. After spending some in-clinic time with a few awesome therapist mentors, she returned to school and received her master’s in Physical Therapy and has been practicing for 21 years.
Most of those 21 years have been spent in orthopedics, emphasizing hands-on care; however, she has worked in various settings, including occupational health, hospital acute care, and home health. She has designed community and corporate wellness programs and teaches fitness classes through Big Foot Rec. She is licensed in both Illinois and Wisconsin. Her therapy toolbox includes certifications in Dry Needling, cupping, and myofascial release.
As a certified health coach, Kathy is passionate about helping clients change their lifestyle, resulting in improved biometrics.
When she is not working, she spends her time with family, dogs, and chickens.
